The Oberstown Activities team offers an extensive range of recreational, educational and skills training programmes. Young people attend afterschool sessions voluntarily and have their say in the range of activities offered – including sports, creative arts, personal development and relaxation classes and vocational skills courses.
Young people often extend their interests from the school day into evening activities, including progressing projects towards recognition under Gaisce – The President's Award.
During regular school terms, afterschool classes and activities start at 4pm and finish at 7.30pm each evening from Monday to Friday. On average, the Activities team delivers 16 classes in each of four time slots – a total of 64 classes each weekday evening.
