At Oberstown Children Detention Campus, we are taking every action to tackle and reduce the impact the COVID19 crisis has on our campus, our young people and our employees.
As a result of the pandemic we are seeking additional temporary support to provide care to young people in detention. We are looking for people to take up short term roles with Oberstown on campus, and are seeking expressions of interest for the roles of Residential Social Care Workers and Night Supervising Officers. These will be for contracts of six-month duration.

Each candidate for the post Residential Social Care worker must have:
- A qualification at degree level on the National Framework of Qualifications in social care, social work, youth work, teaching, nursing, psychology (or other relevant discipline).
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in working directly with young people and / or vulnerable adults who present with challenging behaviour;
Each candidate for the post Night Supervising Officer must have:
- A minimum of Leaving Certificate (or the equivalent level of qualification from outside Ireland) with a minimum of grade D3 at ordinary level in 5 subjects, (one of which is English).
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in working directly with young people and / or vulnerable adults who present with challenging behaviour.
